File Upload / Transfer (FTP)
What server name do I connect to for uploading and downloading?
You can use your domain name as the server name. If you just signed up and we just activated your account, you can use the IP address that was assigned to your domain name. Your IP address can be found in the confirmation e-mail that was sent to you, and you can use our IP Lookup utility to search for your IP address.
Which directory on the server should I put my html files?
When you login, you are in your own home directory. Under that, you should see a directory named "www" which was created for you at the setup time. All the html and image files should go inside the "www" directory.
I am using FrontPage. What Directory Path should I use to publish my site?
If your domain is "john.com", set http://john.com as the location for publishing. For a complete guide to using FrontPage, please visit our on-line manual.
I don't have web-publishing tools such as FrontPage on my system. How can I upload my files to your server?
You don't have to use a web-publishing tool. You can directly use FTP to transfer your files. We recommend you to use WS-FTP. Please contact support for instructions ondownloading WS-FTP. For more information about WS-FTP, please visit our FTP instruction page.
